Arkansas Research and Technology Park
The Arkansas Research and Technology Park, managed by the University of Arkansas Technology Development Foundation, is helping to grow a strong technology-based economy in the state of Arkansas by validating, developing and transferring inventions made at the University to Arkansas-based companies and start-up ventures. The park is home to dozens of successful Arkansas tech companies that have access to U of A faculty expertise and developed technologies, enabling these companies to produce higher-quality, lower-cost products. ARTP clients include SFC Fluidics, LLC (recipient of funding from the US Army for the development of traumatic brain injury diagnostic device); BlueInGreen, LLC (provider of a revolutionary oxygen delivery system being utilized in the Gulf oil spill clean-up); and Arkansas Power Electronics International, Inc. (winner of the prestigious R&D 100 Award in 2009). The park provides state-of-the-art facilities including wet and dry labs, light manufacturing facilities and office space.
