Event Description: Arthur T. Matthews is in his 15th year as a Visiting Professor here at the University of Arkansas. He teaches undergrad and MBA courses in the Sam M. Walton College of Business. A decade ago he designed and continues to teach one of the 1st courses in the State of Arkansas in Negotiations, Mediation and Arbitration. He is the Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of diversityofficers.com a boutique training and consulting firm. He and his partner provide best in class subject matter expertise in the area of supervisory and managerial skills, organizational change, leadership skills, diversity and inclusion, conflict resolution, talent management, knowledge management, team building, sexual harassment awareness, negotiations and communication skills. Some of his clients include Arvest Bank, Mckee Foods, Georges, Columbia University, J.P Morgan Chase, Colgate Palmolive and Estee Lauder. Arthur has served or serves as a mediator and or arbitrator for entities such as the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). He serves on the faculty at NYU and Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations where he teaches seminar, certificate, boot camp, undergraduate, MPA and MBA courses. Lastly he earned his Juris Doctor degree from Howard University School of Law where as President of the Student Body he led hundreds of law students in the march that helped in the enactment of MLK Day as a National holiday. He is married to his soul mate Evelyne and he has two sons, Jaleel & Joseph and a grandson Jaylen. He is a life member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. Directions:
