If you're searching for the best elementary and secondary opportunities, look at the mission statement for Fayetteville Public Schools: "Every student will leave the Fayetteville School District with a full understanding of his or her potential and the skills necessary to be successful in an ever-changing, global society." --and their track record backs this up! The high school has the highest average ACT scores in the state (23.9);
the Gifted and Talented Education Program was named best in Arkansas in 2008 (for the fifth time!); Vandergriff Elelmentary was named a Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education; the district was named #2 district in the U.S. medium-sized catagory by the Center for Digital Education, the National School Boards Association, and Converge Online magazine.
