Choosing your avenue of education in the Fayettevile area is a journey you will enjoy!  Fayetteville is home for the University of Arkansas and its more than 19,000 students.  Located in the heart of town, the University attracts students, faculty and staff from all backgrounds and from all regions of the world.  The UA Walton College of Business is ranked 24th among top public undergraduate schools, according to U.S. News & World Report's  2010 list of America's Best Colleges.  The UA is also the state's only research institution. Click here to find why Fayetteville is so proud of its University!

There are several other area schools that offer advanced degree opportunities for residents of Northwest Arkansas.  NorthWest Arkansas Community College offers credit courses in academic fields as well as technical areas.  Click here to review NWACC's schedules for health professions, business and computer certifications, communication and arts programs, math and science, and adult education.  NWACC has several convenient locations in the northwest Arkansas area.

Look at the Fayetteville Chamber Directory to find all of the listings of our institutions of higher learning, both public and private.  Webster University may be your perfect choice to get your master's degree at night while you are working during the day, or John Brown University might offer exactly what you want.  The New Design Center could be the launching pad for your new creative career.

If you're searching for the best elementary and secondary opportunities, look at the mission statement for Fayetteville Public Schools:  "Every student will leave the Fayetteville School District with a full understanding of his or her potential and the skills necessary to be successful in an ever-changing, global society." --and their track record backs this up!  The high school has the highest average ACT scores in the state (23.9); the Gifted and Talented Education Program was named best in Arkansas in 2008 (for the fifth time!); Vandergriff Elelmentary was named a Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education; the district was named #2 district in the U.S. medium-sized catagory by the Center for Digital Education, the National School Boards Association, and Converge Online magazine.  In 2007 Sports Illustrated ranked the Fayetteville High School athletic programn as the 31 athletic program in Arkansas for the third consecutive year.  Vicki Thomas, superintendent, directs the focus of the 15 campuses housing 8,500 students and 1,288 staff members.  The Fayetteville School Board is working hard on the plans for the construction of the new high school campus and is making preparations for the beginning of construction in June.

Don't stop your search of schools and colleges until you've looked at all the listings of Fayetteville's Membership Directory.  This is an educational journey that you will enjoy!
